Hello my name is Michael Swavley and I am a 3rd Generation panel beater
Alfred Swavley founded the family smash repair business in 1957. He started out prior going from service station to service station doing mechanical repairs to vehicles. When the demand for his services increased he purchased and built the existing property at 706 Canterbury Road Belmore and started out the family business.
The business continued to grow. In 1963 my father Robert Swavley became an apprentice, once he had completed his apprenticeship and was fully qualified he took over the family business when my grandfather retired. During this time he purchased and transformed the adjoining property and fitted it out with a new office, detailing area, and undercover parking.
In 1997 I followed in my father’s footsteps and started my apprenticeship with my father’s guidance we continue to run the family business.

Community support
In 1994 we participated in the 1994 Camp Quality Caper where we raised money for children with cancer as well as in 1996 where we raised money for teens with cancer.
Sustainability and Environmental Awareness
We dispose of chemicals in an ethically responsible, government approved method and reduce their use where possible. We have a strong filtration system to prevent chemical leakage. We additionally recycle thinners and other re-usable materials in a safe, responsible manner. Efficiency of materials and reduction of waste is important to us and we take careful steps to reduce our waste footprint.
